Amie O’Shaughnessy worked in the high tech industry for 10 years before she was ready to give up corporate life and take a pre-kids year-long travel sabbatical with her husband through Europe and Asia. During that trip, Amie realized she needed and wanted to combine her career and passion for travel. It wasn’t until her now six-year-old son was born and she struggled to plan a kid-friendly trip to Europe that Ciao Bambino was conceived. Initially founded as an Italy-focused trip planning service in 2004, Ciao Bambino morphed into a family travel blog and guide to the best places to stay with kids on vacation.
